Qualifications
At Norsemen, we provide the
very best in service; our customers depend on
it! Therefore, it is our policy to hire the very
best Owner Operators-business partners who are
committed to upholding our reputation and who
meet the following requirements.
Drivers must be:
- At least 21 years of age
- Minimum of 1 year recent, verifiable driving
experience
Drivers must have:
- Only one valid driver's license
- CDL with HazMat
- A verifiable clean driving record and good
work history
- No more than two moving violations in three
years
- A nationwide pager, or cell phone; otherwise,
you can not be dispatched
- A positive attitude
Drivers must pass:
- DOT drug screen and physical exam, given at
orientation
Drivers must meet:
- Canadian border crossing regulations (no misdemeanor/felony
convictions/no DUI's)
- DOT and company standards
Drivers must be able to:
- Speak and read English well enough to do his
or her job and respond to official questions
- Block, brace and tie down cargo
- Determine whether the vehicle is safely loaded
